ABOUT OUR COFFEES AND PRICING

Our coffees are single origin, organic, roasted to order.  If you want to know the in-country region for a coffee, please ask. Prices are per pound, ie, 16 ounces. They typically fluctuate a small amount based on prices we pay for greens (unroasted coffees), support materials (bags, labels, roaster fuel), and CC Fees. Prices are current as of this posting.

Origins ... Mexican is Central/South America. Ethiopian is Africa. Sumatran is Indonesia.

SUBSCRIPTION

90%+ of our customers are "subscription" customers, what we historically called Standing Order.  They tell us the quantity to automatically roast for them each Roast Week, every other Roast Week, or every third Roast Week, and that's what we do, Caf and/or Decaf.  Its sole purpose is to take routine ordering off the plate of our customers to make life easier for them.  There is no cost or obligation. It can be altered in any way for any reason as often as needed. It definitely helps us manage and forecast greens inventory needs for which we are grateful.

 As an expression of our gratitude, on each annual anniversary of your subscription, if your subscription is for every Roast Week, Caf and/or Decaf, you'll receive a "thank you" pound on us. If it's every other or every third Roast Week  you'll receive a proportionate "thank you" discount. Again, the objective is to express our gratitude for being a subscription customer.

Auto Increase Explained
We take vacation breaks twice each year, summer and winter, typically July and mid December to mid January. Each time we’re effectively skipping a Roast Week. Way back when, our vacation breaks resulted in Subscription Customers running out of their Art’s Coffee. It was due to that unpleasant experience that one of our customers coined the phrase “Art’s Coffee Withdrawal Syndrome”. Yes, we got a LOT of justified grief from our customers! That was the genesis of Auto Increase (AI) for our Subscription Customers. What is it? If a Subscription Customer opts in, and pretty much all have/do, on the Roast Weeks preceding our vacation breaks we double what we normally roast for them. Some have us more than double, particularly for the winter break due to the holidays as well as for gifts. We advise of an upcoming AI Roast Week via our Roast Alert emails. When a customer initiates their Subscription, they are given the opportunity to opt in.
